[UTG] Raw with WIL FRANCIS of Aiden and William Control!

After many months of failed attempts, we can finally bring you our interview with the illustrious Wil Francis. Wil is the mastermind behind Aiden and William Control and you won’t believe the things he has to say. This interview was recorded Saturday February 28, 2009 in Pontiac, Michigan. We discuss everything from bondage and S&M, to the new Aiden record, Wil’s views on where he’s come from and religion. Parental discretion is advised.

I understand it’s a 40min. podcast, so let me summarize what Wil has to tell us about the new Aiden record [8min.-23min. on the Podcast]:

– The album is 23min. long and “punk as ****”

-There is a name, but it cannot be given out yet.

-It comes out May 12th via Victory Records

-Wil produced it himself in his own studio which they used the album advance to fund

-The first video will be shot following his run with Escape The Fate

I have to say, his sound is interesting, but I can’t put him above anything but an AFI knockoff, or Blaqk Audio knockoff.
And he is really pretentious, holy crap.

Elizabeth Bathory? Seriously, every fucking band from Siouxsie and the Banshees to Cradle of Filth has written a song about that figure.
And William Control looks like a pansy rip off of a throwaway villain from the Matrix trilogy.
Please, just sit down, and write some music that isn’t steeped in gothic hardcore pretentious crap, and maybe you’ll be one day as great or original as a band like the Dresden Dolls.
    Seriously.

  • WiL is the best and has great talent whether someone thinks so or not. Get over yourself and… BE JELOUS =]
