The biggest news of the day [possibly week] for the scene has just broke. Ryan Ross and Jon Walker of Panic At The Disco have left the group. A statement from the two can be read below:
“Ryan Ross and Jon Walker will be leaving Panic at the Disco to embark on a musical excursion of their own. Though the four of us have made music together in the past, we’ve creatively evolved in different directions which has compromised what each of us want to personally achieve. Over the years, we have remained close and honest with each other, which helped us to realize that our goals were different and that parting ways is truly what is best for each of us. We are all excited for the future, you should be too.
-Ryan & Jon”
This split is said to not affect the group’s upcoming tour with Blink 182. More details will be posted as they become available.

This sucks. It really does. I’ve been a fan since purevolume days, since BRENT was in the band.
Great.
Awesome.
This sucks.
OMG! That’s so sad :( I was a fan since purevolume too, when they first posted the demo for “Time to Dance.” So good. Hopefully their new band is good. Maybe they’ll be my favorite new artist of 2009, which currently is Down With Webster: http://www.myspace.com/downwithwebster
