Weekly 5: Your Demise

Weekly 5 is our attempt to get more coverage for more artists. Doing interviews and even moreso scheduling them can be difficult, especially in the busy summer tour months, so to give bands opportunity for coverage when our schedules don’t meet too well, we’ve developed: The Weekly 5. This is a top 5 list any any topic the band chooses that is meant to let you know more about them in a new way. Feel free to comment with your opinions.

number-5

This week we are joined yet again by UK hardcore act Your Demise as they give us their Top 5 most influential bands! Stu, their guitarist lays it out on the line for us…

Stu: – For me personally it comes in 2 Forms, bands that are just very very good, and bands i respect for what they have done, be it touring hard etc…

1. Madball – They are both of those factors. No matter how many times I see them it still blows my mind. So so tight as a band. They have the songs…just the whole deal and are most definitely a band any ‘Hardcore’ band should look up to!

2. Comeback Kid – Again both Factors, Non-stop touring, Great songs, Great people.

3. Biohazard – A band that no matter what they do just still make my heart beat whenever I see or hear them. When we did the tour along with them I felt like I was 14 every night.

4. Pink Floyd – Pink Floyd is a band that most in the band listen too. Both me and George found Floyd through a love from our fathers. They are a great band and are always experimenting within their sound.

5. Architects – I must admit I wasn’t the biggest Architects fan but after I listened to the last album Ruin it turned my head slightly. Hollow Crown came out and I was a complete convert. Great band. Every song on that album is amazing, so well written, great melodies, it just blows my mind when I hear it. I can happily listen to that album everyday. You know what makes it even better is that they are really good friends of ours and they are Repping UK music hard.
