Here is some really exciting news. I was caught off guard when i heard this this morning. Hopefully the album lives up to my exepectations and sounds as good as Madvillainy.

Today it was revealed that the Oxnard, California producer/emcee and the Detroit veteran emcee are uniting to form O.J. Simpson, with a forthcoming album coming of the same name. The announcement came with an audio leak “Coroner’s Music”. Stones Throw Records represenatives warned, via press release, that the group, nor their content bares any resemblance to the controversial NFL star football player and onetime murder suspect. The name comes from Otis Jackson, Jr. (Madlib’s government name) initials combined with Guilty Simpson’s last name.

The album is coming this year, with confirmed features from Elzhi, Strong Arm Steady and more.

Last year, Madlib produced extensively on Guilty Simpson’s solo debut Ode To The Ghetto .
