Kid Cudi, MGMT and Ratatat Team Up

Cleveland space-cadet rapper Kid Cudi knows his indie synthpop darlings. For “Pursuit of Happiness”, the third single from his forthcoming LP Man on the Moon: The End of Day, Cudi has lined up two Brooklyn duos as collaborators. Ratatat produce, giving it a hazy, plinky psych-rap beat. MGMT‘s ghostly harmonies show up on the chorus, backing Cudi’s own gravelly croon. The song is a deeply stoned singsong nugget. Meanwhile, Man on the Moon will drop September 15 from Dream On/G.O.O.D./Universal Motown. Cudi Performed on “Late Show With David Letterman” with Ratatat as part of his backing band on September 11th.
