Raekwon, Ghostface, and Method Man Reunited

On Only Built for Cuban Linx II tracks like “House of Flying Daggers”, the trio of Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, and Method Man showed that they still have the same rowdy fuck-shit-up chemistry that they had back when the Wu-Tang Clan first rose to rap dominance a good decade and a half ago. And pretty soon, we’ll get to see if that chemistry can sustain itself over the course of a full album. As MTV reports, all three will team up for a forthcoming LP.

In a recent Pitchfork interview that’ll run soon, Ghostface confirmed the rumors that he’s working on an album with Rae and Meth, and claimed that it’ll come out on Def Jam. And MTV News has gotten all three members to confirm separately that they’re working on the album, finally nailing down Meth last Friday: “It feels great. Rae got the album out, Ghost is coming with his album, and all three of us got the album together. And you hearing it here first. I ain’t never said it on tape.”

We’re still waiting to hear about insignificant little details like a title or a release date, but the fact that these three are teaming up is hugely exciting. Now that Cuban Linx II actually exists, we suddenly have a new most anticipated rap album.
