If you couldn’t tell by the glowing track review of new song “The Sea Is a Good Place to Think of the Future”, we’re pretty excited for the as-yet-untitled new LP from seven-person UK indie band Los Campesinos!, due out early next year. The band just posted the album’s first official single, “There Are Listed Buildings”, on their blog. (It’s also embedded below.)
It’s a bursting track– soaring horns, “ba ba” hook, zipping guitars– with at least one instant-classic line: “I remember being naked to my waist, though not in which direction.” (“Listed building” is a UK term for “a building or other structure officially designated as being of special architectural, historical or cultural significance,” according to Wikipedia, btw.)
