Shearwater’s new album due out next year

The Matablog reports that album number six from luminous indie-prog travelers Shearwater will is due in 2010. The Golden Archipelago will arrive February 23 in North America and February 15 internationally, via Matador.

In the Matablog post, there’s a quick video featuring blurry footage and quick snippets of music. And judging by said video, The Golden Archipelago will somehow involve Australian aborigines and wild horses. The music sounds just as grand and purty as always.
