Capra – not a “Low Day” in sight

Chances are if you who have watched TV lately you’ve heard up-and-coming band Capra, you just might not know it yet. “Low Day,” the first single from the Los Angeles-based rock band known for their sunny pop sensibilities, is featured in a worldwide ad campaign for travel site Expedia.com, which can seen here:

Capra, composed of actor/vocalist Kelly Blatz, guitarist Shelby Archer, drummer Michael Johnson, and brothers Paul and Jeff Laliberte on bass and guitar, says that “Low Day” was inspired by “a hazy car ride through a California summer day…and a moment of exultation.” The band’s overall sound is reminiscent of this as well, and it is compared to modern groups like The Strokes and Phoenix but with a classic 60’s vibe.

“Low Day” is available now on iTunes, and look for a debut album soon. In the meantime, visit their official Myspace page for more information, as well as news and updates from the band.
