RED BULL BEDROOM JAM AND HEVY FESTIVAL JOIN FORCES
Talent promotion platform adds Kent Festival to Summer Festival Tour

Red Bull Bedroom Jam has announced plans to bring a Bedroom Jam stage to the Hevy Festival this August. The weekly live music webcast and promotion platform for young, emerging bands has added a forth stage to the Kent festival as part of the 2010 Red Bull Bedroom Jam live tour, which also includes stages at Download and Underage Festival.

Joining Kent’s best alternative festival for the first time, the Red Bull Bedroom Jam Stage will bring with it some of the scene’s greatest names as well as the hottest up and coming talent, cultivated through the Bedroom Jam season.

Red Bull Bedroom Jam provides young, up and coming bands with an unparalleled opportunity to build fanbase, profile and career. Once bands have uploaded their entry videos to the Bedroom Jam website, they compete through a mixture of talent and self promotion to secure an initial live show on the site. Once through this stage, they’re in the running to win a spot on the Red Bull Bedroom Jam’s UK Festival tour. The eight chosen bands will not only live the festival dream for the summer of 2010, but will also be in with a chance to spend two weeks recording in Red Bull’s brand new studios at the end of the season.

Alongside the new Red Bull Bedroom Jam stage, which will be headlined by Polar Bear Club and Lower Than Atlantis, Hevy festival have announced the addition of Fucked-Up and Young Guns to the overall line up.

James Dutton, co-founder of Hevy Festival adds:

“We are really excited to announce that Toronto’s legendary hardcore group Fucked-Up will play the Main Stage on Saturday, and Young Guns on the Sunday. Having already toured with the likes of Lostprophets, Taking Back Sunday and Fightstar, these guys are set to be one of 2010’s greatest success stories. Catch them at Hevy before they take over the planet.

“The line-up is beginning to look pretty meaty, but we’ve got more huge bands and some hefty surprises to announce over the next few weeks!”
