Norma Jean have announced that their fifth full-length, Meridional, will be released July 13 to coincide with the start of the Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. The album, which will be put out by Razor & Tie, was recorded this past February in Atlanta with producer Jeremy Griffith. The band recorded 11 tracks for the album along with several B-sides.
Frontman Cory Brandan said, “It’s a heavy record, multifaceted with epic sounding, experimental songs, some fast, chaotic songs, and some melodic, commanding interludes. Any track we didn’t think had reached its utmost sonic prowess was given a second look, revised to be as powerful as possible.”
Norma Jean will embark on a two-week tour with Every Time I Die beginning May 11, followed by the summer-long appearance on the Mayhem Festival Stage alongside with Atreyu, In This Moment and 3 Inches Of Blood.
