Nominations for the 2010 BET Awards have been announced and it should come as no shock that Jay-Z leads the pack in number of nods received. The New York legend landed five nominations including Best Male Hip-Hop Artist, Best Collaboration (“Empire State of Mind”), Video of the Year (“Empire State of Mind” and “Run This Town”) and Viewer’s Choice.
Coming in second, with four nominations each, were Beyonce, Alicia Keys, Trey Songz and Melanie Fiona. Husband and wife, Jay-Z and Beyonce, are competing against each other in three categories: Video of the Year, Best Collaboration and Viewer’s Choice. (Damn, it’s gonna be awkward the morning after.) Other nominees include Drake, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, B.o.B. and Young Money.
