It’s All Happening

Iwrestledabearonce–touring the U.S. with Otep now and preparing to bring their one-of-a-kind, fearless live show to the Vans Warped Tour from July 20-August 15–have just released the It’s All Happening (Century Media Records) three disc deluxe reissue CD, which includes the It’s All Remixed bonus CD and DVD, featuring a variety of remixes and exclusive video. The It’s All Happening bonus DVD includes song stems for listeners to create their own remixes as well as in-studio webisodes, tour journals, music videos and additional video content. In addition, five lucky fans will find an IWABO “Golden Ticket” inside the CD packaging. This will grant the winner and a guest access to three IWABO shows of their choice, a meet and greet with the band, IWABO merchandise and memorabilia.

On It’s All Happening, the Shreveport, LA quintet–now transplanted to Birmingham, AL–embrace elements of grindcore, electronica, jazz, rock ‘n’ roll and even a little country for a chaotic aural concoction that’s as intoxicating as it is incendiary, including the single and video “Tastes Like Kevin Bacon” which burned up the Sirius Hard Attack charts, achieved massive amounts of views on YouTube and is now available for Rock Band 2 on the Rock Band Network.

Produced by Ryan Boesch (Norma Jean) and recorded in Ross Robinson’s Venice Beach studio, It’s All Happening segues from guitarists Steven Bradley and John Ganey’s syncopated spastic riffs to dance floor ready rhythms and beats courtesy of bassist Mike “Rickshaw” Martin and drummer MikeyMontgomery. Above this explosion of styles, vocalist Krysta Cameron screams with precise brutality, before crooning out hauntingly ethereal passages. On cuts like “Danger in the Manger” and “You Ain’t No Family,” her voice swings like a sledgehammer from bludgeoning to beautiful. The band’s charm lies in their sonic sense of ADD–catapulting “The Cat’s Pajamas” and “Pazuzu For The Win” from battle-ready math metal to danceable hip hop doused in jazz for good measure.

Fans can check out the band’s “See You In Shell” video–also found on the DVD–at www.warpedtour.com. Iwrestledabearonce are also offering limited edition “See You In Shell” video t-shirts at the IWABO webstore (www.iwabostore.com).
