The Postelles to Support Interpol

THE POSTELLES have been picked to support fellow New Yorker’s INTERPOL on a string of east coast dates starting July 24th in New Haven, CT through August 6th at Clifton Park, NY. Before hitting the road with Interpol, they will play a gig with rock superstars KINGS OF LEON on July 23rd in St. Louis, MO at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater. In addition, the NYC quartet will headline NYC’s Bowery Ballroom on July 28th and the DC Nine in Washington DC on September 18th (full schedule below). Their eponymous self-titled debut is set for release on EMI’s Astralwerks records on Oct. 12th. The 11-song album was co-produced by THE POSTELLES and the THE STROKES guitarist Albert Hammond Jr.

“The opportunity to open for Interpol is like a dream come true for any rock band from New York,” said frontman Daniel Balk. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to be playing with them, and with Kings of Leon, two bands that we’re huge fans of!”
