Bassist from Jack’s Mannequin leaves band

Jonathan “Dr. J” Sullivan, Jack’s Mannequin bassist, has left the band to pursue his other band, Kid Is Qual.

Andrew McMahon, frontman of Jack’s Mannequin, released the following statement on Jack’s Mannequin’s website:

“This has been an eventful summer to say the least, and the following news is certainly no exception. To any of you who will be attending the upcoming college shows, you will notice that Jack’s has undergone a change in personnel. Our dear friend, Dr. J, will be moving on to pursue new horizons with his band Kid is Qual. He will be sorely missed by us and the fans who have grown to love him, but we wish him great success on this new journey.
