Former Thieves recently suffered a breakdown while in Chicago, and are asking fans for help to get some new equipment. Their message to fans below:

“Traveling as much as we have been lately, probability says eventually you’re going to run into some kind of trouble. Last Saturday night we played our first show of this tour in Chicago. Afterwards, around three AM, we parked our van outside of a friends apartment for the night. When we came out to our van the next mourning, around ten AM, we discovered that the the right passenger side window had been broken out and our GPS, Josh’s guitar, Ben’s bass, and two guitar heads had been stolen – totaling around a $3500 dollar loss for us. Luckily, it could have been much worse. And even luckier for us, between the help of Evan Weiss and Nick Wakim, we were able to collect enough gear to borrow to make it through the rest of this tour. Endless thanks to the both of them.

We feel extremely fortunate to all be in positions in our lives to make this band function as we do, and we understand that this is an extremely privileged position. However, this loss did come at a very inopportune time for us, and where as we are doing everything in our power to get everything back, if you also wish to help all we ask is that you check out our merch online at: formerthieves.bigcartel.com.
