EP Stream: Bad News Bears – “Prospects”

Maybe it’s the broader approach to music most youth take today, or perhaps ADHD kicking in, but attempting to be a genre-less artist has become somewhat of a fad in the unsigned world over the past year or so. Up and coming bands today, especially in the more pop friendly genres, seem determined to keep fans on their toes by turning each and every song into its own mini-epic. While this CAN result in great success and showcase some amazing talent, more times than not it ends in a mess of an album with more filler than killer.

Fortunately for you, the UTG staff has gone through the trenches of unsigned talent for you and returned with what we believe may be this year’s most promising, yet completely genre-less, talent. Mike Sacchetti, better known as Bad News Bears has been making a name for himself and his own, truly unique sound since 2007’s (Your Name Here) EP. Now, after building a strong following through touring and nearly winning mtvU’s Best Music on Campus, Sacchetti has returned with his latest EP, Prospects, and UTG has the EXCLUSIVE stream just for you!

If you like Goot, Represent!, and/or Gatsby’s American Dream – you NEED to hear this!

Enjoy.
