If there’s one genre that has truly lost its way over the past few years, it’s post-hardcore. The Myspace evolution allowed for dozens of knockoffs and underwhelming acts claiming the moniker to break through and thus tarnish this once great scene. However, that’s all about to change.
Allow us to introduce you to Cranston, Rhode Island’s Sideshow. After forming in 2005 (while they were all in MIDDLE SCHOOL), the group went through multiple lineup changes before settling on their current 5 member lineup. Their debut EP, The Rest Was Silence, plays like early Emarosa, but with an extra kick of youthful energy and angst that can only come from the soul.
