Eminem’s open letter to Detroit

Many artists, even those who claim loyalty to their hometown or state, eventually uproot and relocate to a more convenient part of the country for their careers (AKA L.A/NYC). However, Eminem is not on of those artist. The Michigan born rapper has remained loyal to his hometown of Detroit throughout his career and is now addressing the city in a new video.

Below you will find Eminem’s open letter to Detroit. This isn’t a music video and this isn’t an advertisement. This is an actual message, written by Em, intended to raise hopes and inspire a city that has fallen on hard times in recent years. Here’s hoping its impact is felt.

“We could never turn our backs on you Detroit, because we are you.”
