Hey! for those of you who didn’t read my first update, my name is Sean and I am currently on tour with my band, Rocky Loves Emily. I would like to apologize in advance, I try to put these out every Thursday, but due to lack of internet access, I am running a bit slow! Last week I left you off with our first show with a band who has quickly become one of my favorite bands I’ve ever toured with, a band called Freshman 15. If you dig jammin’ bands like NOFX, Blink 182, New Found Glory, or you just love a great group of dudes with amazing musical talent, Freshman 15 is the band for you. It’s been a week since they have joined the tour, and its making time fly by way to fast!

After we left Swazey’s in Marietta, Georgia, we headed south to Florida, playing shows in Orlando, Fort Lauderdale, and Jacksonville. We then crawled our way through the Carolina’s, Virginia, and now I find myself sitting in a Panera Bread in Westport, Connecticut. Travel wise, this tour has definitely had some heavy driving times. Along with a load of time cramped in our van, we have had some great stops along the way. While we were in Florida, we made a stop at my family’s condo, which is on Hutchinson Island. We were able to grab so much needed showers, along with some hang time on the beach! I thought the last of those crazy tornadoes had already passed, but while we Charleston, South Carolina, we hit some crazy storms, It was like watching the movie Twister, only through the windows of our van. Of course I can’t forget being passed by Freshman 15 on our way to Jacksonville. I am still trying to get the picture of Marc’s butt mooning us out the front window out of my head. Overall, I have to say the wildest story of the past week goes to the small town of Fayetteville, North Carolina. We played a bar called BS Jones, and I swear, the entire town was packed into that bar. Over the course of the night, along with many, many drinks, the locals started to get a bit rowdy. That’s when this “Book of Eli” -esque bar fight between two chicks broke out. Now I’ll let you in on the details, one of the girls was very manly (lets just say I thought she was a dude when I first saw her). Anyway, in an attempt to help stop the fight, Bri from Joy Island decided to step in. It was no use though, since right when she entered the battle, She was hit in the head with a beer bottle, leaving her this wicked scar in the center of her forehead. But hey, look on the bright side, she looks like Harry Potter now! Incredacool!

I really want to throw some thank you’s to the people have been over and above awesome to my band and I on this tour in the past week. First of all, considering I’m at Panera right now, thanks to Courtney Chang for the Panera gift card! It has definitely came in handy. To Nicole in Raleigh, North Carolina, thanks for giving us a place to stay the night! Also, a huge thank you to Benji Panico for organizing a totally rad photo shoot while we were in Orlando! Lastly, thank you to everyone who came out to the shows so far, you have made this tour amazing! To the people coming to our future shows, I can’t wait to meet yuh! Come say hey!

Sean
