Justin Timberlake was once the pop star everyone admired, but it seems those day may have passed for good (at least for now).
In a recent interview with NME, Justin was quoted as saying he is “not thinking” about making music anytime soon. It seem the former N*Sync frontman now prefers to focus on his film career, which is about to explode this Summer as he stars in both this month’s Bad Teacher and July’s Friends With Benefits.
“I don’t have a single song ready to go,” he said. “People keep asking me when a new song or album is coming out, and I don’t know what to say. Music is not my focus right now. It may be someday. It could happen next month or next year, but right now it’s not where it’s at for me.”
For Justin’s sake, let’s hope these films go over better than, say, Alpha Dog and Southland Tales. We know it was is not specifically Timberlake that caused these films to fail, but his filmography doesn’t exactly make us excited for more.
Regardless, we wish you luck Justin. Come back to music soon. Please
