Earlier this week, rumors began to spread that comedian Dave Chappelle would be rebooting his television career via a new deal with a subscription-based service such as Hulu or Netflix. While this would probably be the coolest thing to happen to television or the internet in years, it seems the rumor was nothing more than a hoax.
“Absolutely untrue,” says Chappelle’s rep Carla Sims, who spoke to the comedian about the report on June 16.
Other sources questions for the article claim the if Dave were to return, he would most likely choose a larger platform/format than a niche subscription service.
So while it seems Dave won’t be back anytime soon, there is always a chance, and that’s better than nothing.
