Simon Pegg teases “Paul” sequel

Few news stories can make me squeal with fanboy joy. This is one of them.

In a recent interview with Collider, actor Simon Pegg commented on the possibility of a sequel to this year’s comedy hit, Paul, which starred Pegg and his longtime co-star Nick Frost.

“Nick and I have this idea that we had out on the way to Area 51 that was really funny. It would cost an absolute fucking fortune,” said Pegg in the interview.

The film grossed just under $100mil (pennies in today’s box office), but made a considerable fortune for the studio because it only cost $40mil to make. If we know anything about Hollywood, we have no doubts studio heads will be anxious to give the sequel, currently titled Pauls, a green light.

Regardless, fans can still see Pegg and Frost re-team in the upcoming At World’s End.
