James Shotwell Let the hate train begin.
MTV has debuted the official trailer for the 2011 remake of Footloose and we are still undecided on how to feel. Our staff is old enough to remember the original and therefore are instantly cautious of such a cinematic gem being redone.

They obviously made everything quote/unquote “modern,” but is that a good thing? The original didn’t need the flash to be memorable, so why will it work here? Something tells us the film’s message may be lost in translation.
