If one band has defined UK hardcore in the past few year, it is Gallows. Their raw, untamed take on both punk and politics has been exactly the kick in the pants the rest of the music scene needed. Forget image, forget how many people were in the crowd, these guys came with a mission to unleash fury each and every day and did just that.
Things may soon start to change however, as vocalist Frank Carter has announced his departure from the band, following creative differences on the band’s direction.
Carter opened up to fans on his website about the departure and even detailed his next band, which apparently already exists.
On his website Carter wrote, “It is with a heavy heart that I have to announce my departure from Gallows. It seems that Gallows have hit a crossroads in our writing process and unfortunately myself and the rest of the boys have different ideas regarding the sound of Gallows going forward.”
“Gallows have decided they are going to continue on without me and I wish the boys the best of luck for the future. Gallows will be fulfilling all of our current touring plans until August 1, so please come down to a show and help me make each show a total celebration!”
We wish Frank and Gallows the best in their future endeavors. Please release new music soon.
