The following clip is NSFW. If you don’t know what that means, allow us to introduce you to the internet.
Lucky McKee struck horror-culture gold earlier this year when a man stormed out of a screening of The Woman and footage of the event went viral:
So what is the big fuss about? Well, The Woman is about a seemingly normal family man who finds a feral (aka WILD) woman in the woods, captures her, chains her in the family cellar, and decides to keep her for his own purposes. Don’t worry, his family knows and accepts this.
Now, what you’re about to see may look campy, but our sources tell us things are much more grueling than it leads on. As you can tell, our woman goes through hell and anyone familiar with this genre can probably guess what that means (rhymes with crepe).
Checkout the official trailer below and stay tuned for release details as the Fall nears:
THE PLOT:Chris Cleek (Sean Bridgers, Deadwood) is a small town court officer living a quiet, seemingly normal life in the heart of Maine with his beloved family. That is, until Chris discovers a feral woman roaming the woods and makes it the family’s project to civilise her. But as the family’s methods of forcing civility upon the woman become ever more extreme, the perverse bonds uniting them will be cast into violent relief.
