Rise Against nominated for “Best Video with a Message” MTV Award

Rise Against have revealed that their music video for “Make It Stop (September’s Children)” has been nominated in MTV’s first-ever pro-social category “Best Video with a Message.” A great video with a message, partnering with the It Gets Better Project, of bringing awareness of homophobia and bullying into the public eye. This video lets us know violence and suicide are NOT the answers. Read an official statement from the group below.

Hey all, seems MTV has nominated us for a VMA (Best Video With A Message), which is a first for us here in the Rise Against camp. “Make It Stop (September’s Children)” is an important song and video for us, so if your vote helps us all pour water on the fire of homophobia, then we are all for it.
