All Rise for the Black Mass

A mysterious countdown has popped up online at allrisefortheblackmass.com featuring an eerie acoustic loop of about 13 seconds which seems to grow into a possible breakdown. Many are wondering, “what does it mean?” or “who made this?” Well we can exclusively answer the second question. The countdown was created by Phill Mamula, a photographer who does design and administration for The Artery Foundation.

UPDATE: It appears this is a promotional site for the band This is Hell. Their album entitled Black Mass will be released on October 11th.

UPDATE: This Is Hell has contacted UTG and denied a claim for the site. They sent us this on Twitter:

Our record is currently ‘untitled’ and is still in the process of being mastered, but that site looks pretty cool.

UPDATE: I’ve been doing some more googling and I’ve found that on October 11th, 2011 (the day the countdown ends and reads “It’s finally here!”) Artery Recordings, a Razor and Tie imprint label of the Artery Foundation, will be releasing a self titled record from metalcore band I Declare War. Below is a stream of a single from that album, entitled Human Waste.
