Former QOTSA bassist Nick Oliveri could face prison time

Former Queens Of The Stone Age Bassist Nick Oliveri is in extremely hot water after police charged him with drug and firearm offenses. This all stemmed from a July 12 incident in which he apparently wouldn’t let his girlfriend leave his property and proceeded to strike her repeatedly. The event turned into a tense four hour stand-off with LA S.W.A.T..

After Oliveri was aprehended by S.W.A.T. they then found large amounts of cocaine and methamphetamines, along with a fully-loaded rifle, in his house.

According to TMZ, he has been charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with a firearm, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, and one misdemeanor count of resisting, obstructing or delaying a peace officer. If the courts find him guilty he could face up to 15 years in prison.
