Last week, on August 11, Green Day played a 21+ secret show in Costa Mesa, California to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. But the show wasn’t the only “secret” Green Day had up their sleeves: their set consisted almost entirely of brand new songs. Didn’t go? It gets worse: there was a strict no cameras policy, so there are barely any videos or audio clips from the show (and the ones that are up are low quality).

However, because Green Day know how much the jealousy is killing all of their fans who were not able to catch the show, they’ve released the lyrics to one of the new songs they played, entitled “Amy.” The full message posted by the band (including the lyrics) is below.

There is also a partial set list that people who saw the show have compiled. Not all the names of the new songs were given, and some songs were played twice. You can see the list below as well.

The songs were reportedly very rock-and-roll, and very different from “typical” Green Day. It was more along he lines of their side project, the Foxboro Hot Tubs, which has led to some speculation that there will be a new album from FHT in the future.
