As if all the money he earns in U2 wasn’t enough, Bono is set to make $1 billion thanks to his 2009 investment in Facebook. This further confirms the fact that Bono has secret plans to take over the world, and is, in fact, succeeding.
Two years ago, Bono’s investment company, Elevation Partners, bought $210 million worth of share in Facebook. This week, Facebook was re-valued at $65 million. This puts the value of Elevation Partners somewhere around $975 million.
U2 have just finished their 360 tour in Canada, making over $736 million. Forbes magazine listed U2 as the highest-earning musicians in the world, making $195 million in the past 12 months. They surpass Bon Jovi, Elton John, and Lady GaGa.
One of these days, we will all be slaves to Bono. Oh well, there are worse thing that could happen.
