Midtown fans everywhere are either ripping their hair out or finally leaping off a bridge this morning as news has broken that Cobra Starship, the dance-pop band fronted by Midtown’s Gabe Saporta, has been tapped to support the one and only Justin Bieber on his upcoming South American tour. We know this news may come as a shock, or better yet a disgust, to some, but we truly are excited for Saporta and his band. This is a huge opportunity for them and if you can’t accept that, maybe you should spend some time figuring out why you’re taking out so much aggression on a band and situation that has no impact on your existence.

When I found out we were about to have Bieber fever for the month of October I leapt with joy. Justin Bieber might be one of the coolest and sweetest kids I’ve ever met. We hung out a while back for some holiday radio shows and it was an absolute pleasure. I can only hope we have another on stage battle while we’re in South America this tour.
