Though he’s remained an icon of modern comedy, Dave Chappelle has spent the majority of recent years out of the spotlight. He’s done many shows, some planned and some apparently on the fly, but he’s chosen to remain quiet on the public platform for reasons few understand or discuss.

Recently, Chappelle broke his lengthy silence by appearing on San Francisco’s Wild 94.9 FM to explain the recent incident in Florida and discuss his career as a whole. You can view the interview below.

Hopefully this is a sign of Chappelle’s rumored return to the mainstream. We’re sure it will never be like the days of Chappelle’s Show again, but anything is better than the radio silence many of us have experienced in recent years.
