Okay, maybe we are going a little overboard with the title, but something about this feels wrong and dirty.
Katy Perry, the same pop star that “Kissed A Girl” and told us about “California Girls,” has tied Michael Jackson’s long-standing record of having five singles reach number one on the Billboard Singles Chart from the SAME RECORD. The accolades don’t stop there either, Perry is also only the second artist to ever achieve this and the first to do so and be female (obviously).
While we’re happy for Katy, something about Teenage Dream being put on the same pedestal as Jackson’s Bad, or any of his other work for the matter, just feels wrong.
What do you think? Does she deserve this honor? If not, who do you think deserves this level of popularity and fame? Comment below and let us know!
