Trivium crack Billboard Top 15

Florida metal band Trivium have landed their highest spot atop the Billboard 200 chart with the release of their newest album, In Waves. In its first week of release, In Waves sold 21,000 copies and earned the number 13 spot on the charts.

In 2006, the band’s album Crusade landed at 25, while their previous CD, Shogun earned the 23 spot.

In Waves was recorded in the band’s home state of Florida at Paint It Black Studios (minus the drums, which were recorded at Audiohammer Studios). It was produced and mixed by Colin Richardson, Martin “Ginge” Ford, and engineer Carl Bown. In addition to the CD, Trivium has released a two-disc special edition that features 5 bonus tracks and a DVD. The DVD includes a behind-the-scenes documentary, and concert footage showing the first performances of the songs off of In Waves, as well as classic Trivium songs.

Congrats to Trivium for cracking the top 15!
