The Bullits, Lucy Liu, Idris Elba, Jay Electronica track

The Bullits, Lucy Liu, and Idris Elba have recently debuted a new track at The Big Chill Festival in Herefordshire, England. You can see the video here. Watch for Jay Electronica, who appears around the 4:20 mark and recites a brand new verse.

Man Overboard listening party

The self-titled album from Man Overboard will be featured during a listening party, which has been announced on their official Facebook page. The album is out on September 27, the same date as the party. Man Overboard will be released via Rise Records.

New album from Arkells

Arkells have announced their followup album to 2008’s Jackson Square. The CD, Michigan Left, will be available on October 18, 2011 through Universal Music Canada.

Drive A partners with BitTorrent

Drive A, and independent outfit, have partnered with BitTorrent, hoping to utilize their file sharing system. The band started their own label, Dead Conflict Records, which produces their songs and music videos. They hope that BitTorrent will help them directly distribute their material to fans (provided they use BitTorrent, that is).
