Note found in Jani Lane’s pants pocket after death

After the terrible news, on August 11, of Warrant singer Jani Lane’s passing due to a suspected accidental overdose new evidence has been discovered.

TMZ reported that Lane had no source of identification on him, only a note that read “I am Jani Lane.” In a very peculiar turn of events it seems as though Jani did not write the note. It was written by someone close to the singer and had previously done this before! As you can imagine, the family and friends are furious over this news. Why didn’t the person just try to help the sick singer?

Police would not comment to reveal if the person who wrote the note was the same person who checked Jani into the Comfort Inn before he passed.
