After finishing up their extensive touring schedule, dating back to April, The Decemberists have released their creative music video, for “Calamity Song,” directed by Mike Schur. This song comes off of the group’s most recent release The King Is Dead via Capitol Records.
The video takes us through a game of Eschaton, invented by David Foster Wallace, from his book Infinite Jest. The game basically takes us all through a global thermonuclear crisis and is recreated on a tennis court.
