Take That plan two year break

After an exhausting, sold-out Progress Live tour, the guys in Take That are calling it quits…at least for a little while. The band also states that there were arguments and tension within the band, stemming from the return of member Robbie Williams.

An inside source claims,

At first it was a fairytale, having Robbie back and being a five-piece again, but a few arguments and their touring schedule made it hard going. Howard, Jason and Mark all said they were shattered at the end of their tour, and are not sure they’ll be able to go through it all again at their age.
There were problems. The guys knew working with Robbie would be different but they didn’t realise how much of a change they’d have to make to accommodate him. Robbie can be over the top and most of the time is just joking around, but he should have been more aware and tried to fit in.

The tension reportedly began back in February at the Brit Awards, when Williams demanded a “more prominent role on stage.”

Despite the fairy-tale-turned-nightmare, Gary Barlow has convinced the other four–Robbie, Howard, Jason and Mark–to let the situation rest until the new year, when he is done with his X Factor commitments. Barlow hopes the band will be able to discuss their future once the situation has cooled off.

On their Progress Live tour, Take That played a record breaking 8 nights at Wembley Stadium, and to over 1.6 million people in June and July.
