Tom Morello says RATM aren’t ready to record

Well, bummer! Rage Against Against The Machine’s guitarist Tom Morello has issued an official statement regarding the future plans for the funk rock group. He said, “I completely understand people want to hear we’re in the studio making a record. We are not – I’m sorry.”

One of my favorite acts of the 1990’s hinted at a comeback a little while before their epic L.A. Rising festival on July 30, 2011. RATM rocked the house and it looked promising that the group would be making some sort of return.

Have no fear though, Morello has said that Rage loves playing shows now and they will be jumping on some great gigs. He realizes that people love the band but the pressures of making an industry record is not what the band is looking towards.
