Dame Dash busted for selling liquor without a license

Hip-hop pioneer Dame Dash is in huge trouble with NYC law. Dash and his associates have been accused, on six counts, of storing and selling alcoholic beverages without a license through his art gallery, DD172.

His four-story building is also used as a photography/ recording studio and rehearsal/ performance space for a number of indie bands. Authorities are out to prove that it is a “front” for an illegal club and is considered a “nuisance” by many. He is expected to appear in court on September 14 to battle these six counts.

This issue is coming only a month after authorities revealed Dash owed almost $2,000,000, in back taxes, to the IRS. Smooth.

Check out the restraining order that was put on his door.
