Sad news today was revealed that French producer Mehdi Favéris-Essadi, known as DJ Mehdi, has passed at the extremely young age of 34. It has been reported by Pitchfork and Mehdi’s publicist that he passed due to an undisclosed “accident.” The death was spread around the internet earlier through a Tweet from hip-hop DJ Cut Killer.
DJ Mehdi was a prominent face of Ed Banger Records and worked with such mainstream artists as Daft Punk, Architecture in Helsinki, Chromeo and many more.
We wish his family and friends the best, Mehdi’s music still lives on!
