G. Dep Denied Manslaughter Reduction

Former Bad Boy artist G. Dep, a.k.a Trevell Coleman, is facing murder charges from a 1993 robbery. After discussion on Thursday with prosecutors, Coleman was denied a manslaughter reduction.

He is currently facing a minimum of 15 years in prison. Coleman has pleaded not guilty and if he does not accept the prosecutors deal, will be facing trial in November.

Trevell was arrested after authorities reopened this cold case due to new evidence. Police had learned victim, John Henkel, did indeed die from his gunshot wounds. Coleman did admit to the 17 year old crime as part of his 12-step drug rehabilitation program.

UTG will be sure to keep everyone updated as this trial develops. Please share your thoughts and comments with us below.
