“at the beginning of 2011 I found myself alone in every way/shape/form. So I did what I usually do in times of trouble and started writing … which evolved into singing … which evolved into recording … which leads us to the [here] and [now], which back then was a future that seemed unfathomable.

The last release I had was in 2006 … I was still in high school, I had yet to see the world or get my hands dirty in any significant way. This release is a culmination of 7 years on the road, several ego altering breakups and more self destruction than I would care to admit. Point is: everything you hear is based on truth … every word represents something i felt, every note correlates to a vibe in my life, and every crack in my voice was placed there by the hands of fate … But you know what? I’ve come out on the other side as a much better person than I did when I went in.

Thats what Future Focused is about … Looking forward through learning from the past. Addition by subtraction & all that other warm&fuzzy bullshit that makes you feel okay about falling on your face.

this EP is only a precursor to a much larger project: A 13 track mixtape that has become the figurative love of my life, which I will share with everyone later this month. All I ask is that you use protection, and NO KISSING ON THE LIPS”
