We’re rarely ashamed to call Michigan our home, but this story is downright ludicrous.
A Michigan woman is suing the marketing team behind the Ryan Gosling film Drive for false advertising. According to the plaintiff, the film was promoted as “similar” to the Fast & Furious or similiar genre films,” but got anything but when she saw the film. Further, she claims the film actually portrays people of the Jewish faith negatively and encourages violence against them.
Now call me meanhearted, but this woman is an idiot. If you ever complain a film isn’t enough like the Fast & Furious films, you probably shouldn’t consider yourself a fan of film in any way, shape, or form. I understand “different strokes for different folks,” but this is absolutely ridiculous. Hell, it’s beyond ridiculous.
Just to prove my point, look past the jump for the official Drive trailer. Correct me if I’m wrong, but outside of the presence of a car and the name of the film, what would make you think this is F&F like?
