Meet The Villain From 2012’s “The Lorax”

A few weeks ago, UTG briefly brought you leaked footage from the promotional trailer for the forthcoming film adaptation of Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax. Unfortunately, studio heads cracked down and we were forced to remove the goods before most of you got to see anything worth writing home about. Today, that changes.

Definitely one his more underrated works, Seuss’ The Lorax tells the tale of a Once-ler who destroys a forest of beautiful Triffula trees, over the objections of the Lorax, in order to produce Thneeds (a type of garment described as “a Fine-Something-That-All-People-Need”). The film won’t be out until March 2012, but Entertainment Weekly has obtained an image of the Once-ler, which you can view after the jump.

Checkout the image below and be sure to let us know your thoughts in the comments. I was a big fan of Horton Hears A Who, but the rest of the “modern” Seuss adaptations have been pretty awful in my opinion. Do you agree? Tell us!
