The last few years has seen a swell in multi-faceted urban artists. Just being able to rap or croon isn’t enough anymore, you need to be able to do both, as well as produce, dance or some third option that can also be leverage for exposure and business down the line. Drake is obviously the biggest icon for this front, but a star that is quickly gaining on him is without a doubt, Trey Songz.

Earlier today, Trey unleashed two brand new mixtapes for fans. Anticipation 2 caters to his RnB fans (aka, the ladies and guys who want to get ladies), while LemmeHolDatBeat is fronted by Trigga, Trey’s verse-spitting alter ego. Two sounds, two tapes, two great downloads.

Trey will release his new album early next month. Stay tuned for a few premieres off the record in the coming weeks.
