Producer Todd Phillips (The Hangover, Old School) and first-time director Nima Nourizade have unveiled the first trailer for their oft-talked about high school comedy Project X.

The film follows a high school party that goes from tame to wild, wild to insane, and then completely out of control. Not exactly an original plot idea, but one look at the trailer and you’re bound to realize this film is definitely bringing some original ideas to the plate.

Not scheduled to open until 2012, Project X looks relatively promising. Though I will say the found footage bit at the beginning almost had me clicking off until Cudi faded in. Click through to view the trailer for yourself and be sure to leave your thoughts in the comments.
