Former Hush Sound Vocalist Hints At Reunion

Twitter and Facebook are buzzing this morning about the possibility of indie pop rockers The Hush Sound reuniting.

Word began to spread late last night after (former) vocalist Robert Morris tweeted the following message:

“Ok, so I think the hush sound should play again, what about @gretamorgan and @darrenthedude?”

At the time of this post (9:10 AM EST 11/3), neither Greta Morgan or Darren Wilson had responded to the comment, but fans did so in droves across social networks.

The Hush Sound originally went on hiatus in 2008 (though not official until 2009) following tours in support of their third studio album, Goodbye Blues. Since then, Greta Morgan has gone on to form Gold Motel and Morris has been working on a record with his group, Stamp The Band.

Fans shouldn’t get their hopes up too high just yet. The Hush Sound did reunite for a one-off show around the holidays in 2010 and could be (read: most likely) are going to repeat said one-off performance again this year. That’s not to say you shouldn’t still be excited, we’re just saying you may want to look into flights, buses, and trains to the Chicago area in the coming weeks.

UTG is reaching out to the members today and will keep you updated as the story develops.
