Anthony Raneri and Nick Ghanbarian of Bayside reveal Gumshoe Radio

Idobi radio has picked up two new reoccurring voices for a Friday time slot that I couldn’t be more excited about. This afternoon, Bayside vocalist Anthony Raneri and Bassist Nick Ghanbarian have announced their brand new radio program, Gumshoe Radio.

Beginning  Friday, November 18th from 7 to 9pm EST, you can tune in on idobiradio.com and listen to these two New York rockers talk about a variety of entertainment subjects. They will play music from who they think are the hottest up and comers as well as their personal favorites.

I’ve listened to Raneri talk about the industry before via his appearance on the Alternative Press podcast. He is smart and opinionated, Nick tends to be the same way. With their knowledge and experience in the industry, coupled with playlists controlled by themselves, this is looking to be my favorite part of the week.

To sum it all up, Raneri says,

The best way to describe the show is to say that it’s a live audio version of a blog. Whatever we are thinking about, discussing or listening to through the week that we want to share our knowledge or opinions on, we’ll discuss on the show. It is basically a mix of a blog and a news site but on radio with lots of music. We really are here to entertain ourselves and the listeners. We want to not only give everyone something fun to listen to for a few hours on Friday but also spark a conversation on a subject or a new band for their whole weekend.
